Course information

This 3-hour course is a face-to-face session and will be delivered by Dr Sharron Hinchliff, Reader in Psychology and Health at the Division of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Sheffield.

The session is interactive and uses reflection and group work to engage with the topic:

·         Sexual lifestyles of older adults

·         Sexual problems and their causes
·         Sexual risk-taking and STIs
·         Barriers ​older adults face seeking help for sexual issues
·         Barriers health professionals face providing help for sexual issues
·         Facilitators to providing ‘good’ sexual healthcare
·         Principles of effective sexual communication to apply in practice
