About the session

To support National Walking Month, this interactive lunchtime session will explore the benefits of walking and moving more throughout the day. We’ll look at why movement matters, who benefits most from becoming more active, and how small changes can have a big impact on health and wellbeing.

The session will share practical ideas for incorporating more walking and movement into busy working days, alongside simple behaviour change approaches to help make these changes sustainable. Designed to be accessible for everyone, this session will encourage small, achievable steps that support improved health, wellbeing and productivity.

Rachael Weston from Yorkshire Sport Foundation will be delivering the session. Yorkshire Sport Foundation is the Active Partnership for South and West Yorkshire, working to create a vibrant, healthy and prosperous region through everyone moving more. We connect, influence and support organisations and communities to increase physical activity, helping people experience the wide-ranging benefits of movement for health, wellbeing and quality of life.
