We are pleased to invite you to participate in the TARGET Antibiotics and NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board’s Train the Trainer event.
This unique opportunity will equip you and your primary care team to champion the TARGET Antibiotic Toolkit in your practice, supporting antimicrobial stewardship efforts across our region.
The purpose of AMS is to ensure ‘the right antibiotic for the right patient, at the right time, with the right dose, and the right route, causing the least harm to the patient and future patients. The sessions will give you increased understanding the importance of antibiotic resistance in healthcare and looking at the wider picture – how are we using antibiotics, what should we be thinking about and being SMARTER in our prescribing of antibiotics to protect the use of them into the future.
There will be lots of useful resources to help you both have the conversation with patients and resources to help work with other clinicians in your clinical practice to change the way antibiotic prescribing is approached.
This training will be in 2 parts and it is essential to attend both to ensure that you have met the requirements for training. Part 2 will take place on 1st May.
