Join experienced nurses and prescribers Georgina Ritchie (Specialist Nurse, and educator) and Katy Smyth (GPN educator and RCN forum chair) as we consider the presentation of inflamed leg in primary and community care. We will consider red flags of inflamed legs, when it is appropriate to treat for cellulitis and what it could be if not. Differentials of inflamed leg will be considered including medication, leg ulcers, DVT, dependent oedema and pathways for further diagnosis and treatment.
This session is suitable for all practice nurses, ACP’s, practice and community pharmacists, AHP’s and PA’s who want to improve their knowledge and prescribing practice in this area.
