GP Reception & Admin Training Programme

The West Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce and Training Hub are delivering a 3-month face-to-face training programme aimed at General Practice Receptionists and Administrators to equip them with the necessary competencies to thrive and develop in their roles. Participants will receive comprehensive training that covers theoretical knowledge and practical skills to enhance patient care and improve administrative efficiency. The training programme will be conducted over 7 scheduled training modules, held at The Ridge Medical Practice.

Overview

Programme structure: 7 modules delivered face to face over a 3‑month period.

Professional development: Supports potential career progression, improved teamwork, and enables effective cross cover within practices.

Target audience: Designed specifically for GP Receptionists and Administrators to enhance role-specific skills and knowledge, enabling exceptional patient support within Primary Care.

Eligibility: Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a GP Receptionist or Administrator role is required.
