The NHS Cervical Screening Programme (NHSCSP) requires that all sample takers have undertaken appropriate training in the cervical screening programme and sample taking technique.
The course adheres to the NHSCSP Guidance for the Training of Cervical Sample Takers February 2020 as a minimum.
The course is not intended to be used for three yearly update training for experienced sample takers – that training is provided separately or available elsewhere
There are two training provider options – you will be asked to select your preference on the expression of interest form
Option 1 – Course led by South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub
- Runs three times per year
- All sessions take place at Studio 1, 389 Manor Lane, Sheffield S2 1UL
Option 2 – Course led by NEPSEC
- Several cohorts per year
- All NEPSEC cohorts are 2-days face-to-face at NEPSEC Wakefield.
