The West Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce and Training Hub is hosting a 1-day face-to-face Basic Life Support training session.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is a life-saving skill, essential to allow non-clinical and clinical professionals to respond to life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and choking. BLS is a professional requirement and provides legal protection to employees and employers that may need to administer aid is life threatening situations. Administering BLS quickly and effectively is key in these situations to increase survival rate and prevent brain damage and further complications.
This session is suitable for non-clinical and clinical professionals.
The course fee is £30 per person. However this can be funded via Trust Primary Care LTD (TPC) (if you are eligible).
Payment for the course or an approved TPC member practice employment will be required before confirmation of booking.

This course includes theoretical and practical training.
Session includes:
- CPR (adult, child and baby)
- Casualty handling.
- Bag and mask.
- AED defibrillation.
- Management of choking and anaphylaxis.
