West Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce and Training Hub are holding a range of free virtual BITESIZE sessions.
This session is available for General Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, Allied Health Professionals, Advanced Nurse Practitioners & Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
Session includes:
- A session that explores the complex causes of obesity.
- Define obesity and identify the genetic, environmental, and biological factors contributing to its development.
- Describe the altered pathology that occurs as obesity progresses and the impact on health and wellbeing.
- Explain the biological mechanisms involved in the homeostasis of body weight and how they hinder behavioural weight management interventions.
