Course Information

For any healthcare professionals responsible for the diagnosis, assessment and prescribing of asthma care for children and young people.

Why you should attend this course

NHS England (2021) and BTS/NICE/SIGN (2024) specify that healthcare professionals delivering asthma care must be appropriately trained to do so.

Course Pre-Requisites

This course is not a basic introduction to asthma in children, it builds on pre-existing awareness and understanding of the basics in asthma care. Participants are expected to complete 1 hour of pre-course learning activity.

If you are new to diagnosing or managing asthma in this age group or you feel you need introductory education before attending this course, please complete the Tier 2 course

Understanding health inequalities and the disproportionate impact they have on children with asthma forms the core foundation of this course
