Course information

Spirometry update – suitable for people who have some knowledge of performing and interpreting spirometry but are looking to update their knowledge in line with updated ARTP guidance.
This 3-hour course is a face-to-face session and will be delivered by Sophie Toor, Clinical Director of Respiratory Matters and Respiratory Nurse Specialist

Course content

Practical Workshop – performing spirometry – updated ARTP standards on quality assurance.
(Please bring your spirometer and disposable mouthpiece if possible)
• Understanding the ratio – LLN vs <70%
• The use of Z scores in interpretation of spirometry
• Case studies – normal, restrictive and obstructive spirometry
