Course information

A full day, face to face training session delivered by Dr Amer for Nurses and Allied Health Professionals working in Primary Care in South Yorkshire.

The aim of the day is to understand:
1) Why are we doing the test?
2) Common cause of abnormality?
3) How much do I need to panic with abnormal results?
4) Red flags
5) What should I do next?
6) Follow ups?

Course content

Content will include:
  • Iron studies/FBC
  • Leukaemia’s
  • TFT’s
  • U&E’s including: Hyper/hypokalaemia, Hypo/hypernatremia, Hypercalcaemia
  • Acute Kidney Injury
  • Abnormal LFT’s
