Course information

An update on asthma management for anyone routinely managing asthma in primary care.

The session will be led by Deborah Leese, Lead Respiratory Pharmacist for Sheffield ICB, Co-clinical Lead for CYP Asthma and  Nicola Standring-Brown, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Non-medical prescriber and PCRS Executive Committee

This day will cover latest guidelines and focus on the recent changes to asthma management including reduction of SABA and a move towards anti-inflammatory reliever (AIR) therapy.

Course content

Included in the content will be advice and support on choosing the right inhaler and medicine dose for your patient.

We will also look at asthma diagnosis with a focus on FeNO and blood eosinophils considering the evidence, practicalities and interpretation of these tests.
