Join Nicola Standring-Brown (AMS primary care lead- paediatrics) and Ian Hutchinson (AMS lead pharmacist) as we consider antibiotic prescribing for common childhood conditions and the use of pills in place of liquid preparations – to improve compliance and reduce medicines waste.
This session will increase your confidence in managing common childhood illnesses, educating parents around viral vs bacterial conditions. We will also be sharing resources on pill swallowing in children and have the opportunity to discuss moving from liquid preparations to pills and how we can implement this in practice.
Suitable for all clinicians who see children and diagnose and prescribe for common conditions – including Advance Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Minor Illness Nurses, Community Pharmacists and Dr’s in Training – Health Visitors are also welcome.
