Overview

This half-day update looks at the continuously changing and challenging aspects of offering Travel Health consultations in General Practice focusing on the Travel Risk Assessment tool and process, what should be included and why and discussing what has changed.

We aim to signpost and include where to find the most up to date and accurate information to enable you to give timely and appropriate advice to your patients when travelling as well as discussing what is new.

Topics also covered include what we offer and why/by whom, – Why we offer it in Primary Care, Payment, Contract and CQC Recommendations, Competency Assessment Tool and Risk Assessment (includes at risk groups and recommendations),

Travel Vaccinations in Practice, Malaria, Case Studies and Continuing Professional Development.

Please note you must have completed a full 2 day Travel Health training session and have been practising Travel Health consultations for at least 12 months to be able to join this training.
