National Education and Training Survey (NETS) - Help Shape the Future of Advanced Practice
Shared on behalf of the NHSE Faculty of Advanced Practice
Calling all Advanced Practice Trainees and Recently Qualified Advanced Practitioners.
As someone who is training or has trained through an NHSE/HEE-funded Advanced Practice programme, you’ve already played a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare and now we’re inviting you to help take that one step further.
As part of the agreement linked to your training grant, we kindly ask you to take just 10 minutes to complete the National Education and Training Survey (NETS) — a short, anonymous survey designed to hear directly from you.
National Education and Training Survey (NETS)
Why your voice matters:
The NETS survey is your opportunity to share your real experiences, the highs, and the challenges, from your journey as a trainee Advanced Practitioner.
The questions focus on five key areas that shape your day-to-day learning:
- Induction
- Clinical Supervision
- Facilities
- Learning Opportunities
- Teamwork
Your honest feedback helps paint a national picture of what it’s really like to train in advanced practice today. It directly influences how NHS England, education providers, employers, and ICBs improve the support, supervision, and environments for current and future trainees.
Your experience can make a difference
Whether things have gone well, or you’ve faced challenges, your perspective matters.
By completing this survey, you’re helping improve training pathways, strengthen support for supervision, and ensure continued investment in advanced practice roles across the system.
Thank you in advance for your time, and for everything you bring to advanced practice.
Warm regards,
The North East & Yorkshire Faculty for Advancing Practice
