NHS Volunteering Website

Shared on behalf of NHSE

Nationally the People and Communities directorate in NHSE is relaunching the NHS volunteering website in Autumn 2025. As part of this they have asked we go out to healthcare providers and organisations in our region who would be interested in appearing on the portal on the website (if not already registered) where potential volunteers can find out about opportunities in their area.

The NHS Volunteering website is a free, easy-to-use website where potential volunteers can apply for opportunities that support healthcare in England.

In order to make the service a success and create the best experience for potential volunteers when it launches, we are encouraging as many relevant organisations to sign up as recruiters now.

It can be used by both NHS commissioned care organisations and voluntary and community sector organisations that undertake activity related to health and care.  Many are already using the service as an additional, free ‘shop window’ to advertise health-related volunteering opportunities to a diverse range of people who are keen to support their community.

The NHS Volunteering platform can channel applicants to your existing application routes, or you can use the built-in application form.  There is a dedicated team of people who can support you to use the service and post opportunities.
