Survive & Thrive: PA Together

Facilitated group support sessions

Who?

This is for Physician Associates (PA’s) in any role primary or secondary care working within South Yorkshire at any stage in their career. Including those part of the preceptorship and post preceptorship. The aim is to bring PA’s together throughout all stages of their career to discuss and share experiences and create a supportive network of Physician Associates. This will be led by trained PA facilitators, who will promote discussion and reflection on your professional experiences. This may include discussion and/or reflection on colleagues, work environment, patients, wider primary care networks and our professional development. This is also a good opportunity to get to know other local PA’s especially if you are a lone PA in your work environment. Essentially the aim is to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment.

(This is not clinical CPD)

What?

The sessions will run once a month across South Yorkshire in a central location. The times, date and venues will vary. The plan is to have regular small group sessions for 1.5 hours.

Each session will be a facilitated by a trained Physician Associate allowing attendees time and space to reflect and discuss. There is no payment required to attend the sessions it is free. However, if you do sign up and for continuity of these sessions, we appreciate your attendance once you have registered.  If you are no longer able to attend, we would appreciate for you to notify us in good time.

When?

Monthly sessions available at various locations (ideally will be central) accessible via various transport methods. Our trained facilitators will work together to plan these sessions face to face. Once a date, time and venue has been set for upcoming monthly sessions emails will be sent out for those wanting to attend to sign up.

We are aware you may not be able to attend every session, if this is the case, please notify us in good time.

How?

You will be able to register for the Physician Associate Network scheme. We will send out monthly reminder emails for you to register your interest in attending the sessions. It will be on a first come first serve basis.

We hope as awareness increases, we are able to establish a supportive community of Physician Associates in South Yorkshire.
