Upcoming Changes to Level 7 Apprenticeship Funding
This week the government announced upcoming changes to Level 7 apprenticeship funding.
From January 2026, Level 7 apprenticeships will no longer be funded for individuals aged 21 and over. This is disappointing news for our sector and will impact apprenticeships like Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) and Senior Leader. You can find the full details here: https://help.apprenticeships.education.gov.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/24002145831954-Changes-to-funding-for-level-7-apprenticeships
Any apprenticeships starting before January 2026 will not be affected and will access the usual funding route via the levy. If you or a member of staff are considering a Lv7 apprenticeship, such as the MSc ACP, we would encourage you to consider enrolling in a cohort starting before Jan 2026.
