2026/27 funded training –
Thank you to everyone who has returned a Training Needs Analysis tick‑list. Your practice and PCN input is really valued and helps provision funded training across Humber and North Yorkshire to reflect local need and support the workforce effectively. We’ll share further updates once 2026/27 funded training has been confirmed.

The pages bring together key resources highlighting the impact of educators and providing tools and guidance to support multidisciplinary educator development across health and care.

Funded Non-Medical Prescribing Courses 2026/27

Funded places are first-come-first served and accessed directly, your chosen University should be able to let you know if they have funded places remaining. 

Universities may have a section on their course application form to be signed acknowledging eligibility to access a funded place. The training hub can sign this section if needed, get in touch on: hnyicb.traininghub@nhs.net if so. 

Education and Career Development Grants for Nurses - RCN Foundation

Apply for an RCN Foundation education and career development grant:
Financial support available for your educational and professional development | RCN Foundation

RCN Foundation education grants aim to support nursing and midwifery professionals to develop their careers, gain new skills and enhance the care they give to patients. Grants can be used to undertake postgraduate qualifications and professional training. You do not have to be an RCN member to apply.

There are a total of seven education grants open and each grant has specific criteria you need to meet. The education grants available range from £500 – £2,500, and applications are welcome from nurses, midwives, nursing associates, maternity assistants, healthcare support workers and students who will begin their study between September 2026 and September 2027. The closing date for applications is 5pm on 13 May.

Funding Opportunity – Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme - Applications Open Until 18/05/26

We’re pleased to share the Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme (CPTAP) Application of Funding (AoF) window opens from Monday 27 April 2026, 9am until Monday 18 May 2026, at midday.

Application of Funding (AoF) requests must be submitted via the regional online application form – Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme 2026 North East and Yorkshire – Fill in form.

If you were unable to attend a national stakeholder engagement session, you can access a recording along with the transcript and links to resources referred to on our SWAY page.

NEY Regional stakeholder engagement sessions are being held to provide further information. Use the link below to register for your preferred date. You only need to attend one session.
