This will be subject to remaining available 2024/25 budget.

REMINDER: 2025/26 CPD for Nurses, NAs & AHPs - Please tell us what training is needed

Thank you to everyone who has already returned requests.

CPD funding for Nurses, Nursing Associates and Allied Health Professionals will be available again for 2025/26.

We’re asking PCNs to let us know what training is needed so that courses can be identified and coordinated at scale for eligible staff to access, maximising the funding envelope.

Based on previous feedback we compiled a tick-list of potentially funded courses. Please use this form to indicate courses your eligible staff would like to access, and to suggest any additions you would like to see.

Please return completed forms to hnyicb.traininghub@nhs.net by Mon 28th July 2025. Thank you if you have already done so.

As funding is a limited envelope, it may not be possible to encompass all requests. Indicating your preferences will help identify demand and enable planning to best utilise resources at scale. Once all data has been received, we will coordinate provision reflecting PCN requests, then share updated information on accessing the identified courses. Meanwhile, the 2024/25 offer is still open to access, details can be found here: CPD Funded Training for Nurses, NAs & AHPs – Training Hub

Note: For practices who may have training requirements associated with the Local Enhanced Services (LES), provision is being arranged separately for elements and roles not covered by CPD. Further information will be shared on this once NHSE agreements have been made. Current information can be found here: Local Enhanced Services (LES) Training – Training Hub

Many thanks for your help with the CPD process. If you have any queries about completing the CPD tick-list, accessing the funding, or potential course options please don’t hesitate to get in touch on hnyicb.traininghub@nhs.net. We would be happy to answer questions or arrange a chat.
An FAQ can also be found here: CPD Funded Training for Nurses, NAs & AHPs – Training Hub

Best wishes
The HNY Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub Team

Survey - First Contact Practitioner (FCP) National Review

Shared on behalf of NHSE

NHS England are conducting a feedback-based review of the commissioned training and education for First Contact Practitioners (FCPs) and would greatly appreciate your expertise and input.

We have two separate surveys to collate this information, and we are asking you to please complete the one relevant to you and your role (you do not need to complete both surveys):

  1. If you are an AHP working in primary care (whether you have completed FCP training or not) – please complete this survey.
  2. If you are an employer, supervisor, part of a Training Hub, ICB Lead, or work in primary care in any other capacity alongside FCPs – please complete this survey.

The deadline for completion is 17:00 on Friday 8 August 2025.

Completing the survey will take around 15 minutes, and the results will help shape the future of training and education for FCPs. The survey is anonymous, and we welcome your honest feedback.

The aim is to better understand how the training and education has impacted FCPs performance in their role and the primary care setting, experience of accessing the training and education, and opinions on the future of training and education for FCPs.

Please forward this email to any colleagues that would be able to support this review. Again, thank you for supporting this review and we look forward to receiving your feedback.

If you have any questions, please do get in touch with us at england.traininghubs@nhs.net.
