Course information

This training session is aimed at those managing chronic disease in primary care and will include HbA1C, U+E, LFT, Lipid Profile, PSA, pro-BNP and FBC (including eosinophils).

Course content

We will discuss when ordering of tests is appropriate, time frames for repeating blood tests and actions based on results (for example when an altered LFT means a statin should be stopped and when it doesn’t).

This half day session should prove useful to anyone new to interpreting blood results and for those who have been managing them for a while and would like to deepen their understanding of the topic.
