Course Fee: £350pp however CPD funding can be used if you are eligible.

The West Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce and Training Hub are delivering a 2-day face-to-face new immuniser Vaccinations and Immunisations Foundation course suitable for General Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, Health Care Assistants and all Allied Health Professionals who are new to immunising.
This course is mapped to the ‘National minimum standards and core curriculum for immunisation training for registered health professionals’ with training content based on guidance from the UKHSA Green Book: Immunisation Against Infectious Disease.

The course fee is £350 per person. However this can be funded via CPD (if you are eligible).
Payment for the course or an approved CPD code will be required before confirmation of booking.

Overview

This 2-day intensive course provides up-to-date knowledge on immunisation practices, childhood vaccinations, vaccine-preventable diseases, programme implementation, and strategies to address vaccine hesitancy. Participants will gain both theoretical insights and practical skills to strengthen immunisation programmes in their respective settings.

Theoretical – The course combines lectures, workshops, and interactive discussions.

Practical – The course includes vaccination administration demonstrations, including time for each individual to practice the clinical skills including intramuscular and subcutaneous vaccinations.

Please note you must be up to date with your Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis training.
