The South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub has launched a new Lead Nurse Programme designed specifically for nurses who have recently stepped into a lead role within their practice.

The programme will be delivered by experienced Lead Nurses and is designed to be practical, relevant, interactive and engaging.

This six-month rolling programme will cover a range of key topics, including:

  • Preparing for CQC inspections
  • Managing difficult conversations
  • HR matters
  • QOF management
  • Developing and reviewing protocols and policies
  • Supporting and leading staff

Sessions will be held in person one Tuesday per month, from 9:00am–5:00pm (see below for dates). As well as structured learning, the programme will provide valuable peer support and the opportunity to build a local community of practice.
