Offers an ongoing support and development programme for qualified ACPs and PAs beyond preceptorship, working in general practice in Humber and North Yorkshire.
What’s involved?
Advanced Practice Forward aims to offer ongoing support for ACPs and PAs further into their career, beyond the trainee and preceptorship period, offering monthly teaching sessions on clinical hot topics and a virtual peer-group community of practice.
- Monthly teaching sessions usually take place 13.00-16:00 on the last Tuesday of every month (this may occasionally vary due to bank holidays, holiday periods etc.)
- Most sessions are virtual via MS Teams, to enable ease of access for participants across a wide geography
- Some sessions are hybrid, where the topic has a practical element benefiting face-to-face attendance, giving the option to attend in person or virtually dependant on preference
- We encourage feedback and suggestions and schedule topics to suit popular requests
- It is now a rolling programme, so some topics may repeat
How long is it?
The initial 1-year programme opened in April 2024, due to it’s success, beyond this we’re delighted to be able to continue offering the monthly teaching sessions on a rolling basis. Due to funding changes the rolling programme will become part of the CPD offer from April 2025 onwards, and so still be available to those already subscribed, and to anyone new wanting to subscribe.
