The NIHR, in partnership with the UKHSA, has funded a set of workshops to improve social care heat adaptation to protect vulnerable older adults in care homes and home care.

The last two workshops are about pre-season preparedness and need engagement from GPs, particularly for the sessions on pre-summer vulnerability assessment of resident and response plan development. The workshops, which have different content are scheduled as follows.

Workshop 4 (Home Care): Tuesday 14th April 2026 | 10am – 11:30am
Workshop 4 (Care Homes): Wednesday 15th April 2026 | 10am – 11:30am

Workshop 5 (Home Care): Tuesday 12th May 2026 | 10am – 11:30am
Workshop 5 (Care Homes): Wednesday 13th May 2026 | 10am – 11:30am

GPs from any area of the UK are welcome.
