GPA 2024/25 programme is now open for applications!
The General Practice Assistant (GPA) is an established national role and has been developed to relieve the clinical admin burden on GPs.
Funding of £2,120 per applicant is available for the practice to support learners.
The programme takes 6 months to complete, (with support and planning from the practice) and will give the GPA a chance of further career progression and develop a broad understanding of General Practice, as a result having an impact on retention and job satisfaction.
The GPA can support doctors in the smooth running of their practice to enable the doctor to focus more on the patient, improving the patient journey, helping the practice to be more time efficient with appointments and reducing waiting times.
The next cohort available to apply for, starts on 2nd September 2024, closing date 19th August 2024.
