West Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce and Training Hub are holding a range of free virtual BITESIZE sessions.
This session is available for all Primary Care staff.
This webinar explores what primary care staff can realistically do within a ten-minute consultation to better support children and families navigating school distress and behavioural differences. Through reflective discussion and practical strategies, it will encourage a shift from seeing behaviour as “difficult” to understanding it as communication. The session is grounded in lived-experience and storytelling, helping clinicians feel more confident in responding to emotional distress and unmet needs within everyday practice.
Session Includes:
- Awareness and understanding of neurodivergence from both sides of the consultation
- Looking beyond what you see and how behaviour communicates needs
- Moving away from problem solving and turning towards curiosity
- Seeing beyond the label and walking side by side with families
Session facilitators: Dr Jess Morgan & Eliza Fricker
Please ensure that, when booking via MedTribe, the applicant completes the booking using their own personal profile. The account used to log in and make the booking must belong to the individual who will be attending the course.
This is necessary because MedTribe automatically generates a post-course survey and issues the completion certificate to the account used for the booking. In addition, the platform consolidates all training-related elements in one place, including invitations, reminders, surveys, and certificates, while also enabling learners to build and maintain a personal portfolio.
