CPD courses for Nurses/AHPs in South Yorkshire
The South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub commission and deliver the Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPD) for qualified Nurses and Allied Health Care Professionals working in General Practice in South Yorkshire.
We have a range of eLearning courses with open availability (see below) and we will be adding face to face training throughout the year. Please check below for updates or look on our events page
The Training Hub offers a varied CPD training programme based on identified and requested need. If you’re looking for something that isn’t currently included in our offer, please let us know so we can explore the possibility of adding it. Alternatively, if none of the available options meet your specific needs, you may be eligible to claim individual funding of up to approximately £300 to support your own professional development. Are you eligible to apply for the funded courses and in-house training days?
The courses are fully funded for the roles that are eligible according to the NHSE eligibility criteria. Please check below if you are eligible for these funded courses.
For some classroom based training sessions, we can accept applications from non-eligible roles (Qualified staff employed in General Practice in South Yorkshire.)
**This does not include GPAs or HCAs as we provide separate training sessions for HCAs with some that GPAs can also access – please see the bottom of the CPD page for information**

How many courses can you apply for?
There is no limit on the number of courses you can apply for but we ask that individuals complete one eLearning course before applying for another.
Are there any update courses available?
Some update courses are available via the HEE eLearning for healthcare (elfh) website.
How do you cancel your place?
If you have any questions or if you need to cancel your place on one of the courses, please email us and state the course name.

Winter Vaccination Update 2025 for Vaccinators working in General Practice in South Yorkshire
This webinar is delivered by the South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub and is open to General Practice staff working in South Yorkshire only.

We have various programmes and incentives on offer to help improve retention within the South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce.
These offers are aimed at all clinical professional working in general practice at any stage of career post early years (i.e. not on Nurse VTS)

This online webinar took place on Learning Lunch – Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Diabetes Management 4th September covering
Pulmonary rehabilitation, which supports patients with both education and an exercise programme to help them live better with their lung disease
Diabetes management which help to avoid or delay associated complications and deterioration
This toolkit has been developed in collaboration with training hubs across the Midlands, internal WTE team and lead GPNs across the midlands to support and help GPNs, lead GPNs and training hubs who are giving advice and are in a supportive role. The toolkit highlights already established pieces of leadership work across the country and draws on e-learning, podcasts and activities already created.
